Dr Hannah Tan graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS). She was awarded the Dr F. A. C. Oehlers Medal for being the top clinical student and the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Prize during her course of study.
Following her graduation, Dr Hannah gained experience through working in various public healthcare institutions including National Healthcare Group Polyclinics, Health Promotion Board (Pediatric Dentistry), Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, and National Dental Centre Singapore (NDCS). At NDCS, she completed specialised postings in Prosthodontics, Endodontics, Periodontics, and Geriatric and Special Needs, and was also appointed Dental Officer in charge. Her years in the public service have honed her ability to provide a wide range of treatments, including root canal treatment, crowns, dentures, wisdom teeth removal, and gum disease treatment, as well as manage complex dental trauma and emergency cases. They have also equipped her to confidently treat patients of all ages, from children on their first dental visit to elderly with varying medical conditions. Dr Hannah was also a recipient of the NDCS Service with extra Mile (Smile) award, demonstrating her dedication to patient care.
To provide the best standard of care for her patients, Dr Hannah continually seeks to advance her knowledge and keep her skills up to date by attending dental courses and workshops. Her warm, gentle, and caring personality makes the dental experience an enjoyable and comfortable one for her patients, and it always brings her joy to be able to interact with her patients, build friendships with them, and help them overcome their fear of dental treatment.
In her free time, Dr Hannah enjoys going for runs, trekking in the mountains, and spending time with her loved ones.
