Treatment indications

What may be assessed with Q Botox

Botulinum toxin temporarily reduces activity in selected muscles. The treatment plan, dose and expected outcome depend on your anatomy, symptoms and clinical assessment.

01

Forehead lines

For dynamic horizontal lines caused by repeated forehead muscle movement.

02

Frown lines

For lines between the brows that become more visible during expression.

03

Crow’s feet

For expression lines around the outer corners of the eyes.

04

Gummy smiles

Assessment of excessive upper-lip elevation when smiling.

05

Jaw pain

For selected cases where overactive jaw muscles contribute to discomfort.

06

Jaw slimming

For selected patients with prominent masseter muscle bulk.

07

Teeth grinding

May form part of care for selected bruxism cases after a dental assessment.

Important: treatment is not suitable for everyone and is not a substitute for diagnosing the cause of jaw pain or teeth grinding. Your practitioner will explain appropriate alternatives where relevant.

Botox treatment FAQs

Useful information before requesting an assessment.

What does $128 per area mean?

The published fee is $128 per treatment area, with a maximum of 10 units per area. It applies for most cases and is subject to case suitability. Additional procedures or fees may be required for more complex cases.

Who can I see for my indication?

Dr Audrey Chua and Dr Sherianne Lew receive patients for all indications listed on this page. Dr Bertrand Chew and Dr Albert Lee receive patients for jaw pain and teeth grinding Botox indications only.

How long may the effects last?

Effects are temporary. Many patients may notice an effect lasting approximately three to six months, but onset and duration vary by individual, indication and dose.

Is there downtime?

Many people return to usual activities promptly, but temporary redness, swelling, tenderness or bruising may occur. Follow the specific aftercare instructions given by your practitioner.

Is Botox suitable for everyone?

No. Suitability depends on your medical history, medicines, anatomy, symptoms and treatment goals. A consultation is required before treatment is recommended.

Will Botox cure teeth grinding or jaw pain?

Not necessarily. These symptoms can have different causes. Botox may be considered for selected cases after a dental assessment and does not replace diagnosis or other appropriate care.
